I'm not good at shorebirds but I think your third photo is a Willet. I say that based on its large size (hard to tell without something there for scale but it "seems" large), thick dark bill that doesn't curve up or down, gray legs, and the white and black patches where its wings are folded. Thanks. Willet it may very well be. I spent a lot of time on that website when I was doing the blog entry comparing my photos and I couldn't say for sure. I wish I had a photo of one with wings spread. Anyway, I figured only birders would have heard of a willet, since to the rest of us, water birds consist of: duck, baby duck, swan, seagull, pelican and "sandpiper" :) This bird was about the size of a medium seagull.
